Parts of structural metal goods are fabricated, positioned, aligned, and fitted.

A High School Diploma degree or Associate degree is enough.

Using hand torches or furnaces, preheat workpieces to make them pliable.
Use acetylene torches to heat-treat items.
To assemble huge assembly, erect ladders and scaffolding.
Using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools, position, align, fit, and weld pieces to produce complete units or subunits according to designs and layout standards.
Using hand tools, design and create templates and fittings.
Fitted parts should be tack-weld together.
Braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps, or bolt pieces should all be in place for welding or riveting.
Fix taps, tubes, and valves, and smooth the edges of the workpiece.

Have to work 40 hours a week
Irregular work schedule that changes depending on weather conditions, customer demand or contract duration.
Mostly work outdoors
