Overview:

Compile and keep track of employee time and payroll information. Employees' time worked, production, and commission may be calculated. Prepare paychecks or compute and submit earnings and deductions.

Job Responsibilities:

Adjustments to pay for earlier errors or retroactive increases should be issued and recorded.
Process new employee papers and enter employee data into the payroll system.
Provide employees and management with information on payroll, tax issues, benefit schemes, and collective bargaining obligations.
Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay changes, then enter the data into the appropriate records.
Maintain and update payroll data by keeping track of employee information such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations.
Time sheets and other records are used to compile employee time, production, and payroll statistics.
Examine time records, work charts, wage calculations, and other relevant data.
