Overview:
Company Secretary (CS) is one of the higher positions in a private sector organization or company. They are the in-house legal expert; a compliance officer of the Company. They act as a bridge between the board of directors and shareholders. They are the chief advisors to the board of directors on best practices in corporate governance. The company secretary has to impart various services ranging from advising the companies on good governance practices, compliance of legal and procedural aspects, arbitration, negotiation and conciliation in commercial disputes between the parties to finance, accounting, taxation and management services.

Career Path:

- Pursue Company Secretary (CS) Course. The CS course is a self-study program with stringent requirements on training/articleship. All students have to go through the below steps to complete the program;
- Step 1: Enrol and clear the CS Foundation course. (Graduates are exempted from this level)
- Step 2: Executive Programme- Graduates in any discipline (except Fine Arts) with minimum aggregate of 50% can enroll in the Executive program.
- Step 3: Professional Program is pursued after clearing the Executive Programme. Finally an Internship of 12 months has to be completed.
