Overview:
A video/radio jockey is a professional who entertains viewers/listeners with a variety of programs. They may work at television or radio stations and deal with announcements, advertisements, competitions, interviews, and audience interactions. These professionals need to be highly creative with updated knowledge about music and other areas. As part of their job, they may also be required to research, write out scripts, and work with other professionals such as artists, designers, journalists, photographers, directors, etc.
Career Path:
Stream of Study at 12th: |
Students who wish to become video/radio jockeys can opt for any stream at the 12th level. After 10th, students can also pursue Certificate and Diploma courses in Radio Jockeying, Radio Management, Radio Programming, Radio Production, Radio Station Operations, Announcing, Broadcasting, Compering, and Dubbing, Communication and Media Development, TV Reporting, Presentation and Production, and Fundamental and Audiovisual Education. Most courses and institutions require students to clear an institution-specific entrance examination. |
