Policy analysts have a strong educational background in multidisciplinary subjects like politics, law, economics, sociology, ethics and culture and history. Job Responsibilities:

Evaluate programmes and policies, and make related recommendations to institutions and organizations

Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to research project being handled and ensure qualitative assurance of data collection and analysis.

Prepare speeches, correspondence for ministers or public spokesperson.
Monitor current events, policy decisions, and other issues relevant to their work
Networking with other researchers and policy advocates.

Work Life:

A typical day involves lot of research at one’s desk and meetings with stakeholders of the project being handled.
They spend most of their time reading books/articles and writing research papers about political theories, public policy and political history.
