Museology is the study of organizing and managing museums and museum collections. It involves managing and administrating museums. Museology includes aspects of archaeology, history, research and archiving. A Museum curator or director often manages the acquisition, maintenance and exhibition of artefacts in a museum. This is a field for students who are interested in history, science of preserving and conserving museum collections.
