Investment bankers are professionals who play a key role in underwriting new issues of stocks or developing mergers and acquisitions strategies. They work in a specific division of investment banks and trade with shares, bonds, stocks and other assets. An investment banker working in the corporate finance division of an investment bank advises companies on mergers and acquisition, raising capital etc. Investment banking is often considered a coveted profession that assures money, power, risk and status.
Career Path:
While investment banks, recruit graduates in business or economic majors ,it is advisable to get an MBA from a Top Tier college and a CFA charter to rise up the ladder in this profession.
