Overview:
A fashion designer works with clothes and other related accessories. He/she is expected to be updated with the latest fashion trends that are in line with the social and cultural values. The main aim is to create new fashionable items that appeal to their target audience. This includes conducting research, sketching designs, selecting fabric, as well as cutting, sewing, and tailoring. These professionals must also attend fashion shows and know how to combine colors, shades, textures, designs, and patterns. Some fashion designers will create their own pieces to sell; whereas, other fashion designers will be hired to make the sketches of others a reality by creating patterns, or design clothes for an already established brand anonymously without any recognition.
