Overview:
Plasterboard or other wallboard should be used to cover ceilings and internal walls of structures. To attenuate or reflect sound, apply or attach acoustical tiles or blocks, strips, or sheets of shock-absorbing materials to the ceilings and walls of buildings. Materials could be of a decorative nature. Lathers attach wooden, metal, or rockboard lath to building walls, ceilings, or partitions to provide a support basis for plaster, fireproofing, or acoustic material.
