Overview:

Perform physical labor-intensive duties on building sites. May use a variety of manual and power tools, including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, tiny mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a number of other tools. Clean and prepare work sites, dig trenches, install braces to hold excavation sides, create scaffolding, and remove rubble, rubbish, and other waste materials. It's possible that you'll be able to help other crafters.

Job Responsibilities:

To determine work activities, read plans, instructions, or specifications.
Openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be undertaken should be measured, marked, or recorded.
To eliminate probable hazards, clean or prepare building sites.
Machines, equipment, and tools should be lubricated, cleaned, and repaired.
To supply power for tools, machinery, or equipment, or to heat or move materials such as asphalt, use pumps, compressors, or generators.
Load, unload, or identify building supplies, machines, or tools, then distribute them according to project plans or specifications to the appropriate areas.
